Judd Trump exited the Scottish Open after losing 5-4 on a re-spotted back to Thailand's Thepchaiya Un-Nooh.

Un-Nooh, the world number 57, missed a black to win the match and Trump levelled on points in the decider.

But the 2019 world champion missed a long-range pot on the re-spotted black, allowing Un-Nooh to secure a semi-final spot.

"I just believed," Un-Nooh said. "I had never beaten Judd before.

"I just believed in myself that I could do it. To beat him today, I am so happy."

Trump, who described the loss as "shocking", reached the quarter-finals having pocketed a maximum 147 break earlier in the tournament at Edinburgh's Meadowbank Sports Centre.

And the world number three impressed with breaks of 104, 102, 86, 61, 53 and 52 against Un-Nooh.

But his opponent, who almost lost his professional tour card last season, dug deep and forced a decider with a century break of 104.

Un-Nooh faces Gary Wilson, the world number 32, on Saturday after he defeated former world championship finalist Kyren Wilson 5-3.

Wilson trailed 3-1 but rattled off four frames in a row after the interval and sealed his win with a break of 74.

Neil Robertson will play Joe O'Connor in the other semi-final after cruising past Mark Selby 5-2 to record his seventh win in a row against the 2019 and 2020 champion.

The Australian started with a sublime break of 133 and added further efforts of 99 and 83 to take a 3-0 lead, before Selby showed some grit to get on the board with a break of 104.

But Robertson added another century to move within one frame of victory, which he closed out with a run of 60 in the seventh after Selby had responded with his second hundred of the match.

Meanwhile, world number 55 O'Connor eased past Ricky Walden 5-1 to set up a meeting with Robertson as he aims to reach his first final in a ranking event.

The 27-year-old took four frames in a row after a cagey opening and finished with fine breaks of 127 and 81.
