Record-breaking heatwave building in eastern US

Summer heatwaves are not unusual in the US, but the first one of the season could potentially be record-breaking in some areas.

With high daytime and night-time temperatures forecast - along with elevated humidity - the US National Weather Service is warning of a significant increase in the potential for heat-related illnesses.
