Fenerbahce are in talks with Manchester City over a £7m deal for Netherlands defender Nathan Ake.

The Turkish club say personal terms have been agreed with the 31-year-old but sources have told BBC Sport that details for the transfer are still being finalised.

Negotiations are expected to conclude shortly however, with the Dutchman set to move in a deal that could be worth up to £8.5m with add-ons.

He made three appearances for the Netherlands in the 2026 World Cup before their elimination by Morocco in the last 32.

Fenerbahce presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim is keen to sign Ake, who joined City from Bournemouth in 2020 for £40m and has made 177 appearances for the club.

He was expected to be sold by City this summer, with one year remaining on his contract, having had limited game time in Pep Guardiola's final season in charge.

He made just 17 starts across all competitions last season with six of them coming in the Premier League.

"The player, who wore the jersey in the 2026 Fifa World Cup, will join our team in the Austria camp following the permission process," Fenerbahce said.

Ake has won four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups and the Champions League during his time at Etihad Stadium.
