Hearts make Shankland improved contract offer

Shankland's goals have established Hearts in third place in the Scottish Premiership

Heart of Midlothian have made a second offer to Scotland striker Lawrence Shankland in an attempt to ensure his long-term future at Tynecastle.

The 28-year-old has been the subject of speculation despite still having 18 months left on his deal.

Hearts have consistently said they have received no interest from other clubs.

The winter transfer window closes on Thursday at 23:30 GMT.

The former Dundee United forward has scored 19 goals Hearts this season and 46 in 75 games for the club since joining from Beerschot in July 2022.
